Club Support Guide 06

Local visibility is built through repeat presence, not one big post.

Grassroots clubs are already trusted local places. The job is to communicate what is happening, who can get involved and why the club matters often enough for people to remember.

The guide

Build local visibility in 3 practical moves.

Keep the approach simple. Your aim is to make the club easier to explain, easier to support and easier for volunteers to deliver consistently.

01

Use the spaces you already control

Clubhouse walls, screens, fixture boards, entrances, newsletters, websites, social posts, events and word of mouth all work together. The value is not just reach. It is regular, familiar presence.

02

Create a simple content rhythm

Do not try to post everything every day. A repeatable pattern around fixtures, results, volunteers, sponsors, events and member stories is easier to sustain and gives people reasons to pay attention.

03

Make the club understandable from the outside

A new family, volunteer or potential sponsor should quickly be able to see what the club does, who it is for, when it is active and how they can take the next step.

Use the resource

Download the tools that make the next step easier.

These original pilot edition resources were developed through Tendring Club Support. Use the parts that fit your club, then adapt the details, pricing and promises to what your volunteers can realistically deliver.

A practical checklist

Before the next committee meeting, do these 4 things.

Use this as a simple action list. You do not need to complete every part of the guide at once.

1Keep club details, contact routes and fixture information current.
2Celebrate sponsors in a way that feels natural and specific.
3Use real photos and simple factual updates.
4Give every event, campaign or sponsorship a clear call to action.

Keep building

One useful change can make the next one easier.

Commercial confidence is not about becoming a sales organisation. It is about making the value already inside the club clearer to members, sponsors, volunteers and the wider community.

Club support

Use the guide, then ask for the next practical step.

Where a club has a specific question around sponsorship, visibility, content or fundraising, send it through. We will give you a clear, no nonsense answer.
