Club Support Guide 02

A sponsor pack should create confidence, not overwhelm people.

The best packs are simple conversation aids. They explain what the club offers, who it reaches and how a local business can get involved without pretending to close the sale on their own.

The guide

Build a sponsor pack in 3 practical moves.

Keep the approach simple. Your aim is to make the club easier to explain, easier to support and easier for volunteers to deliver consistently.

01

Think before you design

Before opening Canva or PowerPoint, agree the club story, audience, offer, delivery plan and rough prices. A plain, well structured pack is more useful than a glossy document with unclear content.

02

Use a simple structure

Most clubs only need 6 to 10 pages: who we are, who we reach, what sponsors can be part of, example packages, why local support matters, indicative pricing and the clear next step.

03

Keep it flexible

The pack is not a legal contract or a fixed menu that can never change. Use it to make the conversation easier, then shape the right package around the sponsor and the club.

These original pilot edition resources were developed through Tendring Club Support. Use the parts that fit your club, then adapt the details, pricing and promises to what your volunteers can realistically deliver.

A practical checklist

Before the next committee meeting, do these 4 things.

Use this as a simple action list. You do not need to complete every part of the guide at once.

1Use real club photos and simple facts.
2Include only opportunities the club can deliver.
3Show a few example packages rather than every possible option.
4Make the contact and next step obvious.

Keep building

One useful change can make the next one easier.

Commercial confidence is not about becoming a sales organisation. It is about making the value already inside the club clearer to members, sponsors, volunteers and the wider community.
